About the Scholarship

 

The Margaret Maher Scholarship is funded by the Margaret Maher Foundation to assist students from the Lubbock and South Plains area to attend Catholic colleges and universities across the country.  The amount awarded per student each year varies from $2,000 to $15,000 per year. 

Previous scholarship recipients have gone on to attend these prestigious catholic colleges and universities:

  • St. Johns University

  • University of Notre Dame 

  • University of the Incarnate Word

  • Our Lady of the Lake University

  • University of St. Thomas

  • DePaul University

  • Le Salle University

  • University of Seattle

  • University of Dallas 

  • St. Edwards University

  • St. Mary’s University

  • St. Thomas University

  • Santa Clara University
